   Zucchini

Summer is here. What do you do with all that zucchini?

1. The obvious. Give away as many as possible.

2. Make fried zucchini - a lot.

3. Cut them up and add to salads, salsas and whatever else you can think of.

4. Make zucchini bread. You know, shred it up and add it into the batter.
And make a lot of it. Freeze it for Christmas.

5. Pick em while they’re little (gourmet size) and you won’t have as much.  They’ll rot       faster too, so if you don’t use them, you won’t feel so guilty throwing them away.

6. Fill a basket full of freshly picked zucchini. Invite you non-gardening friends over, they’ll   think you’re a master at growing a bumper crop of zucchinis. Don’t tell them that’s what zucchini do, whether you want them to or not.

7. Take them to your local grocer, see if they’ll give you a couple dollars for a couple dozen.

8. Let them stay on the plant and see how big they can get.

9. Practice carving them, get ready for the pumpkins.

10. Cut the bottoms off, stand them up and use them for lawn bowling pins.

11. Next year - buy one package of seeds. Plant one and give the seeds away.
